A friend enquired why this was blank. Lol...now, that's a loooong story.

In my dating days, I thought I might muse upon the experiences I had. A kind of a "coaching" blog for blokes lacking style to improve their chances with the ladies.

Its true, I have dated some dud's and some dudes and a few dukes. All with varying levels of style. And while style and panache would certainly catapult some to the favourite list, upon reflection, five years out- style is no guarantee that love would follow, but its a reasonably good start.

So...what is style? It's a complex thing....a combination of outward presentation and appearance, spatial-kinesthetic intelligence, social intelligence and emotional intelligence. And it goes best with a generous splash of intellectual, logical intelligence too!

I have been accused by one male friend of being an intellectual snob. I object to such labelling. I don't see it that way. I simply think that the intelligences of a man and a woman needs to be compatible, especially if the female is highly evolved and intelligent in multiple dimensions, for a relationship to be sustainable in the long term.

So, that's why style matters. And no matter how sincere some of the truly lovely guys I have dated, if we were not compatible in the sphere of style, it would never work. Neither for them, nor me.

So...if you have had experiences where the issue of style has become a point of differentiation or conflict in your love life...why not share them?
